We ran our first family 5k road race this past May, which was fun. Here is a picture:
Ethan was way out ahead of the rest of the family (no surprise there), although he did say he was holding back since he had a track meet the next day. Lydia decided that she would start in the front of the pack, abandoning mom and dad, and at the starting gun zoomed off at a ferocious pace, only to get totally exhausted after around 500 yards. She had been trying to keep up with some guy who runs 2:30 marathons, it turned out. We eventually caught up with her and ran/walked together for a while, then she met up with a school friend and finished the race with her. Amy and jogged it for most of the course-- a very enjoyable run.
Random scribblings about life in our family. This blog was started back in 2008 when we moved to Cambridge (UK) for a year.
